Our Approach

Our mission guides our approach to care. Merit Healthcare empowers our clients to live their lives to the fullest while contributing to the greater good of the communities in which we work.

Holistic Care

Merit Healthcare  provides social care, but our services go beyond the social  model of care. We work to improve how our clients experience and feel about their lives day-to-day. To achieve this, our services attend to our clients’ physical, mental, and social well-being.

Personalized Services

We tailor our services based on each client’s needs and aspirations. Clients with medical conditions that present unique challenges, such as those with Dementia, receive care from staff with specialized training and experience. Authentic connections between our clients and staff provide the foundation for our approach to care. We relate to our clients as individuals, not as “clients” in a reductive way.

Caring for Communities

We provide sensitive and affirming care to clients of all ages, backgrounds, races, religions, sexual orientations, and cultures.  We also proudly employ staff from diverse backgrounds.

Our Team

Our staff have over 20 years of combined experience of serving the needs of communities through social care and we are committed to providing an outstanding service. The varied health and social care experience of our senior staff ensures a service that is not only professional, but of a high standard quality of care that meets the needs of our clients.

At Merit Healthcare,  all of our caregivers go through extensive background investigations before the hiring process begins.  We want you to feel confident that you are receiving the best possible care from trustworthy, honest and committed individuals. All our staff also receive well tailored training, this enables them to provide the outstanding service we offer.

Equally we know from experience, happy carers give a great service.  For this we have a committed support network that overseas the welfare of our caregivers through training, personal support, incentives and inclusion in evaluating the service.
